This is the code used for our wearable. This code powers four circuits, each with their own switch. The switch is codes to turn off and on each circuit, with a delay of one second.

Porcelain Light Qualities

Some images of the light qualities we hope to achieve...

texture on outer circumference provides control over trace. potentially change the texture as ring spins

The idea is that this bangle has some LEDs and mercury switches embedded inside and when the wearer "fiddles" with the bangles the lights will turn on and off and reveal a pattern hidden in the material of the bangle. We are thinking of using porcelain and making parts thinner than others or inlaying small pieces of clear acrylic that will filter light through

Here we are exploring the idea of doodling, something often done when someone is bored or fiddling. we are trying to create a piece of jewelery that can entertain someone in this mood or situation.
These are the results of the drawing bangles.

I quickly made some renders of what this bracelet wearable could look like. This idea will show the body language of play and interaction with a body wearable
It will be made up of two parts, outer and inner shell. The outer shell shows the form of the object. The inner shell has a concave form which will hold the components which I gather will be a accelerometer, leds and power pack. The holes on the inner shell are where the leds will sit. The way in which this wearable will work is that while the interaction in in motion the accelerometer will determine the resistace of power to the leds so determine on how fast the ring is going will determine on the light quality.

These two images demonstrate one of our ideas. The gesture hiding something secret or important from some one else. This cardboard cut out shows what this wearable could look like. Also demonstrates the point that the user could look at the important information on his or hers cellphone but anyone peeping over the shoulder couldn't see.
